Research Question:What makes a master chess player deviate from the average chess player
|
Thesis Statement:The largest contributing factor I found in my research is that a lot of the traits that these master players have are things you are already able to change. Most sources I used for this paper are scholarly articles or are referenced from scholarly sources/professionals in the field. The most important thing I found in these studies was that anyone can be a chess master, however it takes years of chunking theory, falsification, Visual-spatial training, physical training, and a small amount of genetic factors to be able to reach this understanding of chess.

Action Project Description:

In some of the best writing I have ever written in school, this thesis is about Grandmaster chess players, and how they ended up so good at the game. Throughout this researching process, I made the discovery that most chess players don’t have a lot of genetic advantages that would make them better at chess, for example having better visual-spatial capabilities and having different ways of learning. This would include photographical and kinetic thinking. However, chunking theory, falsification, and some physical training.
