Research Question:How do genetics impact the risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease, and what treatment and prevention measures exist for combating the disease?
Thesis Statement:Genetic predisposition to Alzheimer’s disease can be indicated by the presence of multiple genes, mainly the APOE gene, and although there is no cure for the disease, there are potential treatment and prevention measures available such as clinical trials with drugs, alternative medications, and lifestyle changes.

Action Project Description:
My goal for my action project was to create an educational and informative video about Alzheimer’s disease. My video includes information about Alzheimer’s and dementia, the genetic risk for Alzheimer’s, and a promising new treatment and prevention protocol for Alzheimer’s disease as well as how to implement the protocol in general, and in Durango specifically. In addition to creating this video, I raised money for donations to local nursing homes, specifically the memory impaired residents. I raised money through go fund me and bought donations that improve the quality of life for the patients.
