Research Question:How can political satire be used to bridge the political divide in modern American politics?
|
Thesis Statement:Political Satire is one of the most decisive tools we as Americans possess. As decisive as it is, the best way to bridge the political divide is by utilizing political satire in non-political methodes, in a non-partisan manner, and to normalize the satire inheirant in ourselves by making the subjects of our satire both political “enemies” and “allies.”

Thesis Paper:
Action Project Description:
My action project was exploring how to bridge the political divide in modern America using comedy and political satire. From my research, I found that something that would make the most impact on the perspectives of others is to try and humanize and have us get to know each other, best way for that is to conduct many interviews. In total, I interviewed close to 50 people, on both sides of the isle. But not only that, I’ve interviewed communists, conspiracy theorists and non politicals. These interviews were short but they helped me talk about the problems we as a nation and we as citizens face, which I explained in my podcast I made about my project.
