Research Question:What are the barriers preventing female participation in skiing and how can we overcome them?
Thesis Statement:The skiing community has started to really see a lot of growth in numbers and skill throughout the years but in order to see a full change athletes and companies/organizations need to be able to understand clearly, and start to demolish the barriers that have held back the women's ski industry for years. The two main barriers of female participation in skiing are media coverage and embedded sexism.

Action Project Description:
For my action project I was able to be a part of a group of girls creating a ski film to inspire younger girls. This project all came to be in early fall when I was asked by two girls I compete with through IFSA who had started this project called novia. From there we added 3 more girls onto the project and the movie grew from just a school project into a sponsored short film. I worked on this project for the entire second semester and half of the first, fundraising, figuring out details and filming. For my final school exhibition I ended up just writing a blog on our website (https://www.noviafilm.com/ ) and added short clips of interviews I conducted to this well.
