I have a great love for history and railroads. Growing up in Durango, I lived in and around the train. I grew up wanting to learn as much as I could about the history of the railroad This book here is meant to document the original grades of the railroads that criss-crossed Southwest Colorado. Persevering history is very important to me. I created it by taking pictures where I knew the grade had once been. The sign I created, (the photo-book one) lettering is made of coal from the train, plus mineral spirits. By creating a book and giving it to the train, others interested in our history can see the book.
